IFSA Jr Big Mountain Challenge - Lake Louise, March 7-9
Crazy white-out qualification conditions! Skiing blind off cliffs … nothing short of madness. We nonetheless had fourteen of our athletes rising to the challenge at the Lake Louise Junior Big Mountain while their teammates cheered them on. Two of our 12-14 year olds and twelve of our 15-18 year old athletes ran the scariest E3 and E7 terrain this weekend. After qualifications on Saturday a third of our athletes in the 15 to 18 year group qualified for finals on Sunday. With 75 in the age group, they performed superbly! Unfortunately, with extreme weather and white out conditions on Sunday, Louise cancelled the finals on Sunday.
Congratulations to ALL our athletes for taking on the challenge. You wouldn’t see too many of your parents taking on those runs! You are amazing!
